The installed system weight of FReD is 5.3kg/m2 and therefore it is the lightest panelized SFP system in the world. This helps the shipyard to achieve desired vessel speed and maximise payload. Passenger comfort is increased by lowering the vessel’s centre of gravity, and operations may be eased in shallower waters. The vessel owner or operator can reduce CO2 emissions and improve fuel economy.
The FReD SFP system meets IMO regulations, has EU-MED, US Coastguard and Transport Canada approvals as a 60-minute Fire Resisting Division for high-speed craft.
The modular system allows quick and easy access to the vessel’s structure and service. Panels can be easily removed and replaced to access services behind, due to the quick-release installation system.
With a standard panel size of 2400mmL x 1200mmW, efficient area coverage is assured in addition to fast and easy installation.
FReD panels are robust, strong and impact resistant.
The supporting structure and cover strips are of 316 marine grade stainless steel with exposed panel surfaces being non-metallic and not subject to corrosion.
Bright, White finish, easily washable and water resistant.
